Services to the Coach Industry
This award is presented annually by UK Coach Awards to somebody in the world of coach tourism who has devoted a lifetime to the industry, and delivered exceptional service in the provision and/or delivery of coach services.
The award is designed to recognise a significant and sustained contribution to the success of the industry by an individual who has gone consistently beyond the call of normal duty to improve and promote the coach industry for its users or the wider community.
The Winner in 2014: Selwyn Jones
Selwyn Jones has spent a lifetime in the coaching business. He joined the firm founded in 1968 by his father Robert, and saw it through years of expansion until it reached a fleet of 90 vehicles.
Based in Runcorn but with depots in Manchester and Liverpool, Selwyns enjoys a high reputation for quality operation.
This award recognises a lifetime in the industry, during which time Selwyn and his team built a business that has enjoyed an enviable reputation for quality and entrepreneurship.
