This award was presented by the event organisers to somebody in the world of coach tourism who has devoted a lifetime to the industry, and delivered exceptional service in the provision and/or delivery of coach services.

The award is designed to recognise a significant and sustained contribution to the success of the industry by an individual who has gone consistently beyond the call of normal duty to improve and promote the coach industry for its users or the wider community.

The Winner

Dave Fenton

Dave has worked in the travel industry continuously for many years. He was a board member of the Coach Tourism Council for fifteen years, fulfilling several senior roles. His experience covers air, coach, rail and car travel, with the emphasis on efficient operation and administration. He has run his own destination management and ground handling company since 1991. He is never too busy to make the time to talk through an issue, and is always willing to share his knowledge and experience to benefit others, without any personal gain for himself.

Individuals working in any coach-related environment and at any level of seniority.

Nominations were accepted from operators, local authorities, other bodies involved in the planning and provision of coach services and other organisations working with the industry or on behalf of its users.
