CPT President Bill Hiron to present 2015 Awards as tickets go on sale
The UK Coach Awards have announced that this year Guest of Honour will be Bill Hiron, the current President of bus and coach industry trade association the Confederation of Passenger Transport. He will present the awards to winners at the ceremony, which is to be compered once again by the BBC's Carol Kirkwood.
The event, to be held at the Mercure Piccadilly Hotel in Manchester on Thursday 23 April, is designed to celebrate all that's best in UK coach operations.
UKCA 2015 judging gets under way
Organisers of April's UK Coach Awards have announced that judging of this year's competition is now well under way, with the first meeting of the panel of independent judes taking place during the last week of February. Around 100 nominations were received from group travel organisers, industry customers, coach operators and industry suppliers around the country.

The 7th annual competition for the UK Coach Awards officially gets under way this week with an updated set of criteria, new promotional material and updated illustrations. Nominations are now open and can be submitted until 5 December.

Plans have been announced for the 2015 competition for the UK Coach Awards, which will be formally launched at the beginning of the autumn. This will be the seventh annual contest for this unique scheme, run entirely independently for the benefit of the industry by a special purpose, not-for-dividend company.

Judges hail quality as Coach Awards shortlist announced
The short-list for the 2014 UK Coach Awards has been announced, amid praise from the judges for the range and quality of the operations and initiatives submitted.
A total of 49 people, projects and organisations are on the list, across 16 categories covering the whole range of activities involved in the planning, promotion and operation of coach services.
