Long-established Scottish family firm Maynes Coaches was named UK Coach Operator of the Year, having scooped the title of Top Medium Fleet Operator for the second year in a row. The company is based in Buckie, Morayshire and is celebrating its 70th anniversary this year.
Judges praise high standards and hard work as UKCA 2017 finalists announced
The UK Coach Awards have announced the list of finalists for their 2017 competition, praising the high standards and hard work demonstrated by all the people, projects and organisations that have made the final stages.
The list comprises a total of 58 nominations - covering people, projects or organisations. They cross 14 categories covering the whole range of activities involved in the planning, promotion and operation of coach services. The winners of two other awards will be announced at the Annual Presentation Ceremony on 4 May.
Judging under way for 2017 UK Coach Awards
Organisers of the UK Coach Awards have announced that judging of this year's competition is now well under way, with the first meeting of the first panel of independent judges taking place during the third week of February and the second a week later. The finalists for the Awards will be announced on this web site on Monday 20 March.
New chairman for UK Coach Awards
UK Coach Awards organisers have announced that John Gilbert has taken over as Chairman of the UK Coach Awards from the start of the New Year. He has succeeded Allan Edmondson, who has served in the role since 2011.
