Warm customer welcomes rewarded in Coach Awards shortlist
The finalists in the 2013 UK Coach Awards have been revealed, and all share a common ability, according to the Awards organisers – “they give their customers a warm welcome and great service,” says chairman Allan Edmondson.
Coach Awards judging gets under way
Organisers of April's combined UK Coach Rally & Awards have announced that judging of the Coach Awards element will be getting under way in mid-January. Over 170 nominations have been received across 18 award categories, with three weeks to go before the final closing date.

A call for coach operators and their customers to nominate people, companies and organisations who have excelled during the 2012 season has gone out from the organisers of the UK Coach Awards.
Eden Project presented with trophy
Staff at the Eden Project in Cornwall have been presented with their trophy and certificate for the Most Coach Friendly Tourist Attraction, after winning the Award in April.
Ian Smith, Commercial Director of UK Coach Awards travelled to make the presentation. He presented the prizes to Carol Barrett, Group Bookings Coordinator and Laura Ward, Sales Coordinator of the Eden Project.
Top driver receives his trophy
It's better late than never for Billy Graham, winner of the 2012 prize for top UK Coach Driver. Billy, who works for Durham coach firm Cochrane's, was away on tour on 19 April, the day of the Presentation Ceremony, so was unable to be present at the event to hear the news of his victory.
However, he has now received his trophy and certificate from UK Coach Awards director Chris Cheek, at Cochrane's offices in Peterlee, Country Durham.
Charity Draw raises £1160
Charity partners Transaid raised a total of £1,160 from the charity draw at the 2012 Coach Awards presentation ceremony.
Describing it as "a really great result", Transaid's Marketing and Events Executive Aggie Krasnolucka-Hickman said, "Thank you ever so much for allowing Transaid to be the charity of the UK Coach Awards once again this year! It was a lovely evening and we were delighted to be a part of it. Thank you so much to all of you for your brilliant support to Transaid."
