Categories and Criteria
How the categories work
Our awards are divided into three broad types: you can click on categories below for more information, or you can download a document which sets them all out - just click on the cover. They will take you to pages where the categories are explained in more detail, including the criteria we will use to judge them.
These have been updated for the 2018 scheme, after taking into account feedback and suggestions from stakeholders.
- three prizes for the top small, medium and large operators, from whom an overall winner will be selected, named UK Coach Operator of the Year. This section also contains the award for Top Express Coach Operation.
- a range of awards for different categories of staff across the whole range of tasks needed to deliver successful coaching - drivers, engineers, support staff, customer service personnel. There are also awards for a lifetime of service to the industry and to recognise and inspire young management talent in the business.
- recognising and rewarding excellence in a range of disciplines involved in successful commercial coach operation, including marketing, tour programming, technical innovation and projects to improve the overall customer experience, which we call Making Coaches a Better Choice.
