The 2020 competition is open
Entries are now open for the 2020 UK Coach Awards. Tell us about your brightest and best people and the top quality service you and your colleagues provide. Whether you have hundreds of coaches or just one vehicle, you have an equal chance of winning. We want to hear from all coach operators, large and small, that want to share their success and be proud of their achievements. We need to let the wider world know just what coach operators do - because its a lot and it's great!
Nominations from customers of coach operators are also welcome. If you've had good service from a coach operator or a particular driver, please tell us the name of the company and the name of the driver. Public nominations close on Friday 13th December and entry forms from coach operators need to be with us by Friday 24th January 2020.

A record breaking year
A record breaking number of guests attended the 2019 UK Coach Awards presentation ceremony held at Viva Blackpool on 2nd May, hosted by BBC TV's Carol Kirkwood. Thank you to everyone who came along and made it such a memorable evening.
We raised a fantastic £2,700 for the Family Holidays Association, which is enough to help more than 50 families with a day trip - a precious day of respite for those who need it most - and many of you also asked to be contacted about helping the FHA with coach hire, so they will be in touch very soon!
A big thank you to all our sponsors, supporters, patrons and all our entrants - without your support we wouldn't be able to run the awards scheme.
If you where there, check out the 2019 Pictures - there are over 400 split into different sections. You can download any of them as a 300dpi image.
Our Charity Partner
As you may know, earlier in the year we launched a charity partnership at our UK Coach Awards with the Family Holiday Association. We wanted to find a charity which resonated with our partners and where we knew we could make a real difference.
There is such a natural fit between our two organisations to help the charity in a crucial area by doing what we do best - providing coach travel for families in real need of some respite.
Knowing we are an industry with a big heart, we have set ourselves a target this year, to work with our industry colleagues and help provide 200 families with a precious day out at the seaside or tourist attraction.
The partnership got off to a fantastic start at the awards with a brilliant raffle, thanks to the wonderful prizes you all donated. And not only this, but nearly 50 of you responded saying you would be interested in donating coach travel for families which is just wonderful.
The charity team are following up with these responses and we are delighted to say that we have already reached 100 families who will be able to get a precious day out, out of our target of 200.
With your wonderful support and passion, we are sure we can reach 200 families by the end of the year. For more information on the partnership or to let us know how you can help,
Together we can help more families find sunshine through the rain.
What can Coach Operators do for FHA
The Family Holiday Association provide very much needed breaks and respite to families who would otherwise not get these. The Coach Industry is in an ideal position to provide help directly to the families who need it. So please visit our page above which has some suggestions should you wish to help in some way;
Independent Judging and How it Works
Independent, expert judging is a vital element of the 2020 UK Coach Awards, as it has been ever since they started in 2009, and its delivery is a key corporate objective for the company.
"It was a lesson we had applied from Day One in launching the UK Bus Awards in the mid 1990s," recalls Chris Cheek. "If an award scheme is to have credibility, and the prizes are to be valued, then it is vital that entries are judged fairly and objectively against the agreed criteria by independent expert judges. We carried this over to the UK Coach Awards in 2009."
